Fedrigoni

Brief

Create a marketing tool to promote the new Sirio Ultra Black paper range.

Fedrigoni is a leading Italian paper company. Their new range of paper, Sirio Ultra Black, is 20% darker than the original Sirio Black. This is available in the following paper weights (gsm):115, 115 embossed E/R65,185, 280, 370, 460 and 680.

The concept was to create a 3D packaging to send out to Fedrigoni’s most prestigious clients to promote samples of their new Sirio Ultra Black paper range. Provoking exploration but also highlighting the extreme blackness of the paper. Exploring the use of angular pyramids to represent the sharp nature of the paper.

The final packaging once opened falls to sit flat on the table unveiling the pyramids. A variety of patterns have been added to the pyramids using a combination of foil and gloss to highlight the versatility of the paper.

The pyramids protect the centre of the packaging, and once opened reveal a series of cards, firstly there is a description of the Sirio Ultra Black paper. Underneath there are samples of the paper range and the very bottom are details of the variety weights used within the packaging to show the versatility of the range.

On the front and back flaps a subtle envelope neatly encloses the top edge of the packaging. When opened four different printing methods are revealed (gloss, embossed, white and foil printing), using a gradient of lines to show how effectively the printing works, on the paper.

A publicity poster to illustrate Fedrigoni’s paper samples, continuing with the same theme as the initial promotion.
